meet ro + co design & shop: a nashville interior design & home destination since 2006

if you’ve been around nashville for a while, you might know us by another name.

before we were ro + co design & shop, we were redo home + design, a local interior design and home destination that has been part of middle tennessee’s design community since 2006.

a few moves, a new name, and nearly two decades later, a lot has changed. but our love for a beautiful, collected home has stayed very much the same.

today, ro + co brings together interior design, furniture procurement, and our nashville home shop under one roof, led by mother-daughter duo mitzi maynard and khaki delaney.

here’s a little more about how we got here.

it all started with redo

our story began in 2006, when designer mitzi maynard opened what would become redo home + design in downtown franklin.

part interior design studio, part home shop, redo was a place to find furniture, art, rugs, lighting, textiles, vintage pieces, and plenty of inspiration along the way.

after ten years in franklin, we packed things up and headed north to nashville, moving into a much larger space on sidco drive in 2016.

if you know, you know. sidco is one of nashville’s best little pockets for design lovers, tucked away in berry hill and filled with designers, makers, showrooms, antiques, and some seriously good home finds.

the larger space gave us room to grow both sides of the business: the interior design studio and the shop.

then came 2020. like so many small businesses, we shifted, adapted, and figured things out as we went, eventually moving to an appointment-only model for a period of time.

and somewhere in that evolution, the next chapter started taking shape.

enter ro + co

in 2023, we reopened the shop as ro + co design & shop, bringing a new name and fresh perspective to a business with almost two decades of history behind it.

today, ro + co is truly a family affair.

mitzi continues to lead the interior design side as principal designer, working on everything from renovations and new construction to furnishings and art curation.

her daughter, khaki delaney, leads the shop and procurement side of ro + co, overseeing the day-to-day life of the store and helping manage the sourcing, ordering, logistics, and many moving pieces that happen behind the scenes.

together, they’ve created a business where full-service interior design, furniture sourcing, procurement, and a really fun place to shop for your home can all coexist.

and yes, working with your mom/daughter every day means there are plenty of opinions involved. we think that’s part of the fun.

we like homes that feel like people actually live there

our philosophy is pretty simple: your home should feel like you.

we love beautiful things, obviously. but we’re less interested in making a room look like it was purchased all at once and more interested in creating spaces that feel layered, personal, and collected over time.

that might mean a brand-new linen sofa next to a vintage table. original artwork above a piece you’ve owned for ten years. a beautiful rug that can actually handle real life. something a little weird or unexpected sitting next to something classic.

the good stuff is usually in the mix.

it’s also why we talk so much about the art of living around here. a beautiful home isn’t just about how it looks in a photo. it’s about how you actually live in it.

on the design side

if you’re looking for a nashville interior designer, that’s where mitzi and the ro + co design team come in.

our interior design studio works across custom renovations, new construction, furnishings, vintage sourcing, and art curation, helping clients create homes that are thoughtful, functional, and still feel like themselves.

the process starts with the people living there.

how do you use the room? where does everyone end up at the end of the day? what do you already own that you love? what drives you crazy about your current space? are there kids, dogs, dinner parties, or all three happening on a regular basis?

those things matter just as much as picking the perfect fabric.

from there, we layer in natural materials, timeless pieces, vintage finds, art, texture, and the details that make a home feel finished without making it feel overly done.

on the shop side

then there’s khaki’s world.

our shop at 2930 sidco drive is filled with a constantly changing mix of furniture, vintage finds, original and local art, rugs, pillows, objects, gifts, and all those smaller pieces you didn’t know you needed until you saw them.

we like to think of the shop as the more spontaneous side of ro + co.

come in looking for a sofa. leave with a vintage vessel.

stop by for a gift. start mentally rearranging your entire living room.

it happens.

the shop also gives us a chance to highlight artists, makers, and other small businesses we love through pop-ups, exhibitions, events, and collaborations.

there is almost always something new to see, which is exactly how we like it.

and then there’s procurement

procurement might not be the sexiest word in interior design, but it’s a very important one.

behind every beautifully finished room is a surprisingly long list of orders, vendors, lead times, tracking numbers, freight deliveries, receiving appointments, damaged-item claims, storage coordination, and installation logistics.

that’s where khaki and our procurement side come in.

ro + co works with designers to help source, order, track, receive, and coordinate furnishings and other pieces for their projects, taking some of the less glamorous logistics off their plates.

so while you might see the beautiful sofa sitting perfectly in place, we see the 27 emails it took to get it there.

we love both sides.

come hang out with us

almost two decades after redo first opened its doors, ro + co looks a little different, but the heart behind it feels familiar.

we’re still obsessed with good furniture. we still believe vintage makes almost every room better. we still love discovering artists, rearranging the shop, finding the perfect piece for a client, and watching a home come together.

now, we just get to do it as ro + co.

whether you’re starting a renovation, looking for help sourcing furniture, hunting for something vintage, or just want to wander around a really good home shop for a while, come see us.
